How do I request a feature?
There is a dedicated Wings Wants topic on the Wings3D Forum
that is frequently browsed by the author of Wings3D. There is
also a Feature Request section at the Wings Source Forge Project
Page. You can post your request at either location.
How do I report a bug?
You can report a bug via the the bug tracker at the Wings
Source Forge Project Page. Try to keep the report as clear,
concise and to the point as possible. If you have a problem
with a specific model you can even upload the model which
helps the programmers diagnose the problem. You may also want
to browse the existing bug reports to see if someone else
has reported the same problem.
Alternatively you can post your bug on the Wings3D Forum to
see if anyone else has experienced the same thing and if there
are any ways to work around the bug. Last but not least -
assuming you've found a real one - make sure you actually
do report it!
How do I get/share models?
A selection of Free Models is available under the resource
section on the main Wings3D Home Page. There are many other
free models available on the web for download. Just do a Google
search on 3D Models and you will find more than you know what
to do with. Then simply download models that are compatible
with one of the formats Wings can import (.3ds, .ndo, and
.obj) and save them as .wings to convert them to Wings models.
You can share original models you have made by participating
in the Wings OpenSource Models Project. If you have a model
you would like to contribute to this effort please contact
Mr. Björn Gustavsson at bjorng@users.sourceforge.net
to make the necessary arrangements. It is hoped that a fine
collection of original models made completely with Wings will
be included with the final Wings3D 1.0 release. |
