A long time ago (back before this forum died) I was told about a Linux binary that would just run on Linux by clicking on it, it did not require an install. I cant remember where I download those or what they are even called. Do they still make those? I imagine they are hidden somewhere in old archived versions of Wings.

In the OLD dead forum there is this your thread: installation of Wings, but it doesn't has any comment related the answer you are looking for.

Unfortunately I can't help you with this and there are just a few old users accessing the forum nowadays, so I hope maybe Dan could answer you.

I also found in a thread at CGTalk (which you participated) a post with something about a command (or tool) able to make a full install of the application and that at the end you just could start it by typing it name: Artists using Linux - Share your experience
Thanks for your help micheus, I tried that .run script and it worked, it did a simple install in my home folder. But I recall that there was a Linux binary that you just click on and it ran Wings without having to be installed. I would still like to find that.
@ggaliens

Is there any chance to get MLab for Linux? I use this OS from time to time and during that I can check some issues, if needed...

Regards,
Hank

Hank, as ggaliens asked to close and after to delere his ML session in this forum, I believe the right place to ask bout that is in his ML Forum. (see here: Official ManifoldLab support will now be at dedicate site)

If you already had an account in the old W3d forum it can be used there.
