Ok, another try, hopefully all the major bugs are squashed now.

Post bugs in the bugs thread.

In this thread you can describe how nice, great and good looking me and Micheus are. Biggrin
Or old and slow or other Wings related stuff, but post bugs in the BUGS thread.

--- 2.1.4 --------------------------------------------
- Fix crash in autouv when doing geometry changes from the autouv
window via keyboard shortcuts. Now the commands only work if selection
mode is the same in both windows. Reported by Fonte Boa. [dgud]

- Bridge-RMB was crashing for two faces selected in the same object.
Thanks to Fonte Boa. [Micheus]

- After select multiple views and activate the RMB Wings3d crashes.
Thanks Fonte Boa [micheus]

- It was impossible to define hotkeys in Sculpt mode.
Thanks to Fonte Boa. [Micheus]

- Performance improvements. [dgud]

- Selection display in ortho mode (and autouv).
Reported by Loefet and kugelfang. [dgud]

- Fix olive green theme, report by tkbd. [dgud]

- Fix crash at start if username contained unicode chars,
reported by infinder. [dgud]

- In GeometryGraph if user accidentally put the folder name in edit mode and
then cancel it Wings3D was displaying a wrong message. Thanks tkbd. [Micheus]

- The Geometry Graph window closes unexpectedly in some folder/item
operations. Avoid the crash and its cause should now
be appended to Log window. Thanks to tkbd [Micheus]

Yes indeed, you and Micheus are great and good looking guys.
Thank you dgud!!
Thanks for your precious work.
Thanks for the update.

I decided to put the performance improvements to the test by importing the Dragon and Happy Buddha models from the Stanford Repository, converted to .obj and .dae. I did not do poly reduction on the models. Yes, these are very high poly models that one would never create in Wings3D but they really put Wings to the test.

Testing with Wings 1.5.4... (only .obj is supported)
Importing either Dragon or Happy Buddha causes Wings 1.5.4 to crash.

Testing with Wings 2.0.5... (only .obj is supported)
Importing either Dragon or Happy Buddha does NOT cause Wings 2.0.5 to crash.

There is a lag in response when moving the camera and using U to rotate gives slow rotation.

Testing with Wings 2.1.4.1... (both .obj and .dae are supported)
Importing either Dragon or Happy Buddha .obj files does NOT cause Wings 2.1.4.1 to crash.

Response is fast and using U to rotate gives fast rotation.

Importing either Dragon or Happy Buddha .dae files into Wings 2.1.4.1 causes a crash but a crash dump text file is created. I will post that info in the bug section.

Thanks for do this kind of evaluation. That means dgud's effort to improve Wings3D performance has been successfully. Smile
Micheus,
I would say very very successful... Smile
