Full Version: Are there Boolean operations in Wings 3D?

I've seen this in other 3D editors (like Sketchup and AC3D) whereby you have two objects that intersect and you can use a "Boolean" operation to redefine what bits of each object are left. Typically you might have a modified cube object which is meant to a box. Another cube is sized smaller and positioned in that cube so that its slightly raised, then it gets "subtracted" from the first and the result is a box with a cavity in it (the sort of thing shown at the start of this AC3D video at Lets make and texture a RPG styled Chest in AC3D). Alternatively it could "intersect" the first and only the space contained by both would remain.

Does Wings 3D have this sort of functionality, perhaps under another name, or as a plugin? I looked for it but couldn't find anything, and couldn't find a tutorial video about this either.
Not at the current version. It's in development and I wish it can be available in the next version.

The non official version - Manifold Lab - used to have this operation by using a third party program. I'm not sure if it is still available in the latest version ggaliens made available. You need to check. There is a dedicated session to ManifoldLab in this forum.

For objects like that in the video, build it using regular objects and commands can be easier.
