It's really annoying to have to re-choose the export/render file name every time I make a change! The other renderer plugins remember, don't they?
edit: Oh, never mind. It only doesn't remember when you haven't saved the model.

I don't know about the other. It works this way on Wings3d for all exporter, but maybe we can think about to suggest the last name you have used - although I can't see any problem to click in the file name that we see at the save dialog box.
I don't think we should assume the user will want use the same name all the time, because for test purpose he/she would want to save the result with a different name.
