Whipped out a AAA Turret design ealier this day. Looks pretty clean,no twisted faces and vertices this time. Yay!

I think that you just need to avoid to use ngons when you don't need:

try to build quads faces always as possible and you probably will have less headache.
Take a look at some articles/tutorials about topology/subdivision. I organized the thread I have for 3d useful things and I've added two new links about that -

Anyway, good job with the concept/models.

Well,it is part of the design and i'm not sure if it really is an ngon. At least it doesnt like it to me.
Also, thank you for these useful links, i'll make sure to learn as much as i can

well, seeing the screenshot it's ok, of course.

It seems that "tessellation" was introduced by
p3d. Sorry about that.

Don't worry about it
Just a quick question though: If i merge two files in wings, will i keep the original files and create a third one or are the original files lost and become one?

The file merged (2nd) stays as it is, but this "third" doesn't exists until you use "Save As". It's the 1st one plus the 2nd you have merged.
Alright,thank you for your answer

I was a little worried i'd lose the other files if i save two merged files. That was rather silly of me if i think about it
