Hi,
I have 3 questions. Please help me with your replay.

1.Is it possible to export models from Wings 3D to UDK , if so , how ?
2.Do the UVs go with the model , since that would be helpful , creating UVs for Normal , spec and so on would be easier that way.
3.Is there any free software or at least under 40$ for animating your models and so on.
I used to use Hammer over a year ago , i though i would do something in UDK , I simply plan to do simple environments for a 3rd person game .
Currently fooling around and finding my way through the UDK. In meanwhile i keep watching 3D buzz tuts and so on.
Cheers , thank you for reading.

Wings exports the following formats:

If UDK knows how to read any of them, then it is possible.

Yes.

Blender is free, and it's the only good free animation software out there. In the sub-$40 range, there is nothing. Go higher or go Blender.
IIRC UDK doesn't support .3ds, .lwo or .obj, but uses either .ase or .fbx which makes it a real shame the fbx exporter for wings was discontinued. You'll probably have to go through another program, like Blender, to "convert" the models to a format UDK supports.
Just to back up what others are saying -- Blender is a fantastic option for anyone. Smile
