My pc crashed last week & I had to put a new graphics card in it. Now I can't get the 1.3.1 version of Wings to work. Newer versions download & install OK.. Older versions download & install OK.. It's just this one. I keep getting a "Failed to start Wings 3D: 14001" error .. Could it be some problem with the new card. A friend of mine tried it & it worked OK for them (using the sourceforge link).. Card is an Nvidia Geforce GT 640.

From a
post in old forum, you can try:
- uninstall Wings3D;
- make sure that Program Files/wings3d... no longer exists
- reinstall and
make sure that the microsoft dll's checkbox is selected (Select it even if the installer say you already have the dll).
You still can try to update your video card driver: NVidia
download page.
There is an newer version available (from the last week)
Thank You micheus!! Not only was the dll box not checked, neither was the Wings 3d one. Might be a Vista glitch but more then likely it's just me being my usual unobservant self..
I put the card in after the update came out. It put the new one in right away. Not sure I like this one but it's better then one that doesn't work.. LOL ..
