i think it is not possible yet to do it by drag and drop...
...maybe it is possible to add a a window under TOOLS (like SCENE INFO: AREA & VOLUME) ?
somewhat like this: TOOLS > SELECTION INFO
...and store / rename SELECTION INFORMATION
...it is not good to get no acess to those values in wings... it´s like a dead feature...
