Hope I'm Not too late .... Daz Studio!! .. it's still free I think ... you can find plenty of free content to get started ... and I make clothes, props, backgrounds ... even Morphs with Wings3D ..and Blender ...... Probably the easiest program to animate in .... once you get the hang of it!!
