Anyone know how this ReMesh compares to MeshLab ?

I've used MeshLab and it does produce usable and interesting results. It might actually offer too many options.

I used Meshlab before I tried ReMESH. It has been a while but I don't think Meshlab was able to handle some of the meshes I wanted to reduce. Give ReMESH a try. I think you will like it better assuming you are just reducing poly counts. That is all I have used it for. I only used Meshlab to export U3D files and reduce poly counts.
