So, I am new to Wings3D and I got the newest addition (dev version) and I noticed that it has its own file type (.wings), is there any way I can export it as an obj? Or, is there a converter I can use?[/b]

It seems you installed Wings3d, but still didn't run it.
You just need to access the main menu File->Export and choose Wavefront.
