A new release - dgud - 04-10-2014

I have added windows builds of the latest master to my dropbox.
Built upon the newest erlang so unicode paths hopefully works now.

Please test and if seems to work I'll make an official release.

OpenCL (smooth preview) should work on nvidia cards on 64b version.

Also thanks to Micheus for all the work,
bugfixes and new features is all his work.

RE: A new release - oort - 04-10-2014

Dgud,
Thanks!
Can we get a list of updates and new features that need to be tested before the new official release?

I know of the following...

Nvidia OpenCL Smooth preview
Grid size
Absolute Move MMB (Reference point)
Restore last view when open saved file.
Autosave unsaved project
Text Primitive Font Fix
Absolute Snap with Duplicates Array
Rotate Snap image

Can you hold off on the official release till Micheus finishes Merge updates? I think he is almost finished???

Thanks,
oort

Björn have fixed jpeg import on mac also, but I believe that's it.

No I will not wait :-) (Micheus have told me not to)

And I really want a new stable out, probably the last stable for a while.

So we can focus on new things, the gui for example and get rid some old
opengl code such as display lists to save memory and so on.

Does this installer automatically upgrade 1.5.2 or do you need to uninstall first?

Sounds good to me. I wasn't expecting a new release so soon... Smile

In testing the 32bit version on 64bit Windows 7 Home Premium after a little bit in a file Wings3D disappears and erl.exe is still listed under processes in the task manager.

MikeJ,
The wonderful thing about Wings3D is that you can run old and new versions without having to uninstall. Just install the new version for testing and you can still use the previous version... Smile

Just remembering that the Preferences.txt file is shared - so, if you think be necessary you can do a backup before.

yeah. It seems to be. I don't understand how it didn't happened when I tested it before and record a video. Dodgy

I just want to know how do we can know the preferences.txt location since it's not listed into the Console window?

The path discovery code is in wings_pref.erl.

Let's say that I asked that like a "mortal" user, not a coding one. Wink
