I'm a new user of Wings (latest version on Win7 64bit two differerent machines) so I don't know if this is a bug or something I don't know how to do.
I can't export a mesh object via Collada to either SL or IW with a materials color on a face with a Value (Hue Saturation Value) less than 1.0 (gray for example). Those faces arrive white.
I don't know if it's the exporter in Wings or the importer. I have tried both Firestorm and InWorldz viewers to import with same results. I'm not techie enough to read the collada xml file.

The collada exporter for Wings3D may not be able to export all the information needed for that. The plugin needs someone to make it better.
Can you modify the colors after importing? Have you tried OpenSim?
