Problem with transparencies! - Ray - 10-12-2014

I am new to the forum, greetings to all!

I am creating glass objects, type: bottles, crystal glasses, meters pharmacy, etc ...

I would like to show my problem is detected only when making a a triangulation!

Maybe someone can help me!

Here I leave a model, I uploaded a "Sketchfab"
https://sketchfab.com/models/3fb62e1a17d64987a3cda247fb65aa5d

In Wings 3D, it shows much more, this bug!
If I do not: a triangulation of the object, it does not.

Using Wings 3D versions: 32/64-Bit.

My computer is:
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4
Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (Service Pack 1)
Ram 4GB, DDR3
Asus Nvidia GeForce GT 640 2GB (Driver version: 344.11)
DirectX 11.0

I am Spanish, sorry if you do not understand the translation!

greetings

Hi Ray, welcome to the our community. Smile

I don't think that is a Wings3d bug. Sometimes you can get these artefacts when the inner and outer faces are too close, but it's not your case.

I download the model your shared (the .obj) and imported it into Wings3d. So, just by hitting TAB key (View->Work mode off) I couldn't see any problem. I also rendered it with POV-Ray and Kerkythea without subdivide the mesh during export and I also couldn't verify that problem.

In the picture bellow: 1st is your model I load into GLC Player; 2nd and 3rd imported into Wings3d; 4th POV-Ray render; 5th Kerkythea render; and 6th is the .obj exported from Wings3d and load again into GLC Playier.

So, that means there is something wrong with your .obj file that is "fixed" after imported and exported back to .obj from Wings3d (I used 1.5.3).

Just in case you want to check it I attached it here.

This looks like a depth-sorting issue in the sketchfab renderer. It happens when faces closer to the camera are drawn before faces further away.

Micheus Many thanks, I downloaded the file you sent me!
And in this I can not see the bug, and if you look closely its first image of GGC, we discovered that it shows a little ... failure!

But now I can no longer see the error, use Wings 3D 1.5.3 32 and 64-bit

nemyax mmmm can assure that, I also saw in Wings 3D, and sometimes this happens, I've uploaded a Sketchfab, just so you could see the bug!

I discovered long ago that Sketchfab showed some flaws that I did not appreciate in Wings.
