Nice images! The so good use of the blue color on the second image, especially, adds very much to the result.

Also, it shows my unskilled knowledge to use more colors Smile
I tried to use colorful ambient but it was a mess.
So, I'm more oriented in one key lighting and more or less one color. It's more manageable.

Nice variation of the Twisted Starball.
I would suggest you to subdivide once more during the export process. As the image is big we can easily see "octagons" instead of circles. Wink

This is a starball in Wings with Blender's wireframe modifier on top. Now I'm curious how will look sphericon wireframed?

Micheus, how to keep the octagon holes after the subdv ? So, that they don't get rounded up?
