I guess you want to import only one object from many existent in a previous version of your project. Is that? If so, maybe you didn't noticed, but since v2.0 we can select individual items to be imported - just use the multi-selection commands from your OS (for Windows, CTRL+<mouse click item>). Currently, the Merge option have much more options that you can find in Kerkythea (more control over what will be merged).
