RampantMongoose, that kind of problem is always related to something out of our control. There is other kind of problem related to edges drawing that also is "PC random", but that I could only noticed in that machines with a on-board Intel video. Take a look at this thread and in the last post I did.
I'm still using an Intel HD 4600 (i7) in my home PC and I don't have any of these issues, but at the company I work we have an Intel GMA HD (i5) which has that edge problem (not face).
