I thought I would update you on any progress. I have had absolutely no luck in my attempts. If nothing else you can always install your favorite linux on a small partition of your hard drive. I went with Debian 7 using k desktop and wow! Wings 3d works perfect! Just migrate windows leaving a small partition open for the Linux Distro using - http://www.partition-tool.com/personal.htm

Sorry I could not have been more help. I'll be doing some serious research before buying another Intel based Laptop, that is for sure.
