You need to add the -pp C:\YafaRay\bin\plugins to your options. If I remove that I get the same error message you have.

I will code threads with -1 as the default ("Auto" in the dialog). The user will still be able to change the value to something else.

To appreciate YafaRay you would need to try rendering with old Yafray.... now that is what I call slow....

The developers are working on Beta 8. It is supposed to be faster.
