Unwraping hemisphere, but how?
Hey
![]() I made a model and a texture for a space station, but I can't unwrap the model properly. I tried to unwrap it like a sphere and cylinder, but it doesn't look like I want it: ![]() ![]() ![]() I would describe the shape of the model as a "helmet"(it's empty inside), is there a good way to unwrap it right? , Westbeam |

RE: Unwraping hemisphere, but how?
By considering the texture you are using (with those lines) I believe the better option would be to use the Projection Camera option:
![]() In this case I just marked for cut the helmet boundaries (two edge loops separating the in/out side); changed the view mode to Orthogonal and put the view along the Y axis. After created the UVMap it was needed a little of tweak in the opened mesh.
