Hi, I use sometimes an old old version of photoshop ,but almost always I use paint.net application, it is very similar to ps, and sometimes krita, but less for making textures,anyway, part of that texture are poser shaders, It has a "painted" hair texture, and then some "magic" with poser shaders to look better.
