I am surprised you did not know that. That must mean you have never rendered with YafaRay or even old YafRay... The console/log window is used to show the progress of the render.

That is a good idea about adding a separate Render option that does not open the settings dialog, to the file menu. I miss being able to avoid that step. OpenFX does it that way. OpenFX uses two options in the File menu ("Render" and "Render Setup..."). We will have to see if dgud and Micheus like the idea...

Currently, if you have saved your wings file the render file name defaults to the file name and you can change it. Maybe I do not understand what you want... or maybe you want to avoid hitting "Ok".
