I could experience that too.
We just need to move the camera around and then it appears. Rotate in Y >90 counterclockwise is enough to see it. Here is the file wings_render.beam for replacement. It must to be place in a folder like this: C:\Program Files\wings3d_2.0.2\lib\wings-2.0.2\ebin Asticles, again, could you please check if it's OK for you (in Linux and Windows).
