Wings3D on Linux everything is black
Hey,
when i start wings 1.5.4, a window pops up, that is filled completely black. Wings 2.0.2 shows a menu, but the working space is black too. Right click on the black part shows a menu, but the icons on the right side all looks the same. running in Terminal doesn't show any errors: Quote:wings-2.0.2 I'm running Mint 17.2 64 bit. My guess is i need to install something, anyone any idea what i need, or what else i can do? thx |

RE: Wings3D on Linux everything is black
It uses to be graphic drive related.
Which graphic card are you using? AMD, nVidia or Intel? The drivers are proper to them or a generic one (mesa)? If it's nVidia take a look on this link to see how to update it: https://mintguide.org/system/449-install...-mint.html

RE: Wings3D on Linux everything is black
Didn't get a notification, sry.
I have a Core i3-5005U which has an inbuild intel HD 5500. My system info says "Intel Corporation Broadwell-U Integrated Graphics" and the driver manager says i have no proprietary driver installed. |

RE: Wings3D on Linux everything is black
Clippy, as I don't a Linux system installed to use Intel GPU all I can do is try to help you to find alternatives. The Intel GPU uses to be a problem even under Windows.
Take a look at this thread at Linux Mint forum: LMDE 2 64 and Intel HD 5500 - software-rendering You must be able to compare the driver version you have installed and maybe use the instructions there to update it.
