[Linux]Wings load figure causes crash
I am using Wings3D 1.5.4, on Linux Mint 17.1 Rebecca. Recently I was trying to install some packages, and a forum post said to use aptitude. Aptitude deleted essential packages such as 'mate-terminal', 'mate-desktop', and others. I believe that it deleted an essential file for Wings to run, because whenever I try and open a .wings file, it crashes with this error:
Code: beam.smp: ../../../../../../../src/mesa/drivers/dri/i965/brw_eu_emit.c:267: validate_reg: Assertion `execsize >= width' failed.Code: Trying OpenGL modes |

RE: [Linux]Wings load figure causes crash
It's clearly related to the OpenGL drivers - Mesa. You will need to fix that in order to get any Wings3d version working.
Check this thread. Maybe you can try dgud ' tip or the link I shared in the last post there. Just curiosity, did you give up of build 2.0.3? Do you were trying to build a 32bits version?

RE: [Linux]Wings load figure causes crash
1) I realized that I could not get wxWidgets to hook with otp to build. I tried all that I could, but nothing worked.
2) I still get the error, even after installing all of the packages on that page: Code: Trying OpenGL modes |
