olve11, now you found the right setup for the rays. The floor looks much better.
It's just a detail, but I'm going to do another observation: the texture on the ceiling joist are too symmetric. It would look better if you could move the UV mesh on the texture image and then get a slight different image arrangement. Flip the UV mesh also can help with this. The way it is now we see all the noodles in the same place. Be sure we just want to help you to improve your work.
