oort, I'm moving this post to Gripes & Grumbles because that is not a bug.
The usual for any application is to get the first tab focused. That is not happening and that is the bug I fixed. Be able to decide or remember the last tab you have used would be an option to be added to the preferences, but I'm not sure that will be implemented.
