RE: Blue screen of death crash
Unfortunately the image doesn't let us know much about the problem. Maybe the Report Detail session would tell us something about what windows module (drive/dll) has broken.

Anyway, Blue Screen of Death is usually hardware or driver related. Look for any video card update.

RE: Blue screen of death crash
had another crash last night. I was in the uvwindow with a geodome.

i took a picture of the blue screen with my cel camera. not the best quality.

it says something about image paging? and win32k.sys

i'm doing wings on a winxp Acer netbook, while my main rig is rendering.

maybe i shouldn't try to uvmap on the netbook anymore?

i'm afraid of crashing my main rig though. netbook, would be a bother but not catastrophic.

RE: Blue screen of death crash
Did you try updating the video card drivers? How much ram does the netbook have?

RE: Blue screen of death crash
My wife had one (not more) and I was able to use Wings3D without this kind of problem.

But, it's a machine very limited for CG - its on board video card supports up to 224MB only "stolen" from the 1GB available.
ref.: IntelĀ® Graphics Media Accelerator 950
You may check for its driver version and compare to this one on Intel download center (maybe use it)

This was one limitation I remembered I found in it (from the old forum): Does your System support Moving Opacity in Proxy Mode?

Maybe you can try to create the texture of minor size or play with the other parameters. That is the kind of problem very difficult to help fix. Sad
