How to import Traceparts models into Wings 3D

I have done several electrical component 3D models and export them to KiCad CAD in vrlm format. That works fine.

I could load ready made 3D models from Traceparts also in vrlm format (there is available about 30+ format options). Unfortunately many models are in black and white only. I would like color them in Wings 3D.

Wings 3D have several 3D import formats. Which one really works? I did try Collada with no success.

Can you send a Collada model to me, or make it available to download somewhere I can have a look.
As long as the material is not a shader it should be possible to import the material.
