Searched the forums today , looking for other threads related to Wings crashing

Win10 Creative Update Today . 4-12-17

Versions 1.5.4 , 2.0.5 , 2.1.5 (64) Wings 3d Crash after opening.

An Unhandled win32 exception occured in erl.exe [1704]

Unhandled exception at 0x000000000181035D (nvoglv64.dll) in erl.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x0000000000000250.

another attempt shows

also ran Visual Studios 13 Repair then restarted

then CC cleaner to fix registry

Going to try Nvidia driver Update next Current driver version is 381.65

Restored to a previous Win 10 build , Wings runs fine now. Substance painter. Houdini , auto desk all experienced the same problem.

yes . the Microsoft Update was the cause

So, it seems like MS installed a bugged NV driver. I didn't experienced that after this update. My video card is from AMD.
