Exclamation Wings3D's package dependency erlang-wx has been removed from Ubuntu Software Center
So when I wanted to install Wings3D onto my ubuntu 13.04 (Raring), it had an error because of a missing package erlang-wx. I searched around the web on the error. Eventually, I checked a list of dependencies on the website http://packages.ubuntu.com/raring/wings3d and checked for that software on Ubuntu software Center.

Either Ubuntu has to restore erlang-wx or Wings3D get an alternative dependency. Otherwise it is a broken app.

By the note in the Ubuntu's bug report (on 2009: "currently, erlang has a build-dependency on wxwidgets2.8. it should definately not b-d on wxwidgets."), I don't think Ubuntu will restore it. Huh
It should be a problem for all Erlang programs (that is not specific to Wings3D).

Anyway, if you were not able to make it work, you may consider to try this workaround for Ubuntu 12.04 (follow the link in that thread).

I hope the Erlang team are looking for some solution for that.

[edit] Also, you can download the latest 1.4.1 snapshot from dgud's repository. A list of fixes and adds can be found here.
