RE: A newbie's first steps in 3d modeling
I think i'm really starting to get the hang of this. I think a few more models to master what i've learned and then i'll start looking into uv mapping and texturing. In the meantime,i've whipped up another model, this time a light plasma turret.
Light Plasma Turret (View in 3D) Sucessfully merged 3 files into one. Yay me ![]() Well then,i think it's time to arm those ships ![]() Destroyer - Armed (View in 3D) |

RE: A newbie's first steps in 3d modeling
Realized i made a minor mistake in the plasma turret model. The barrel was as thin as paper, that has now been fixed
![]() Light Plasma Turret Fixed (View in 3D) I've learned how apply materials to faces, how to use uv maps and how to apply a texture within wings itself. But it seems real texturing can't be done without the use of GIMP. So,i guess i'll have to learn how to use that too. |
