Well, i think i lost the best of the party but...

I am using Wings 1.5.1.7.g7460 (from Dgud dropbox), very stable and doesnt have the bugs Stem pointed (and which i could verify personally here, using official 1.5.1).

Anyway, i found i bug in both versions.
If the Selection Groups window or the Saved Views window remain opened when user exit Wings3D, when Wings is restarted again we always have have the following wings_crash.dump file. Nothing severe: i just click the workspace and always is fine.

The problem just occurs if Selection Groups window or Saved Views one remained open at last Wings3D session.

Fonte Boa, I used the same wings3d_1.5.1.7.g7460 by preserving the old preference.txt as it is (maybe an addicted, since I used it during all the tests) and I couldn't reproduce the problem. Then, I deleted my preferences making wings create a new one. Tried again and no problem.

Could you please send me your preferences.txt and the .wings file you are using for test?

I can confirm the crash on both 1.5.1 32 bit and the latest 1.5.1.7 64 bit version.

The 32 bit version is on:-
Win XP pro
GTX 460

The 64 bit version is on:-
Win7 64
AMD 7850

While I'm waiting for the files, check the video and tell me what step to reproduce the error I'm jumping?

What you are showing there will crash wings on my setups.

An example of simple steps:-

Open Wings (current config or new config)
open "Selection Groups" window (leave it open)
Close wings
open wings = Crash/crash dump. Click window to continue.

that's why I need one of you send me the files I asked for. I can't try fix something I can reproduce.
Did you tried remove/rename your current preferences.txt I repeat the process?

Do you always run wings in a small window?

Please try these steps:-

Open wings and maximize the main window.
open "Selection groups" window (leave it open)
Close wings
open wings

= crash

Yeah. It's a HD size I've used for record my videos.

Thanks for your information. Now I have something to verify.

There were other times that someone reported this (after the main fix) and only this time this information came. No minimal information should be forgotten when we need to reproduce an error.

I've found the error, Micheus. (after a fresh instalation)

1.Start Wings.
2.Maximize the (Windows7) window "into" Wings is runnng.
3.Open Wings Selection Groups window (and/or Saved Views one).
4.Restart Wings.
5.Crash


Wings runs inside a Windows7 window, ok?!
The error just occurs if Wings main window (not the Geometry window) is maximized.

Can you confirm it?
