Open Source 3D Model Viewer - AssimpView
Here is a link AssimpView Website to AssimpView. It is Open Source and can be used to view the following 3d model file types...
Collada (.dae)
Blender (.blend)
3ds Max 3DS (.3ds)
3ds Max ASE (.ase)
Wavefront Object (.obj)
Stanford Polygon Library (.ply)
Autocad DXF (.dxf)
Lightwave (.lwo)
Modo (.lxo)
Object File Format (.off)
Ogre XML (.xml)
Stereolithography (.stl)
DirectX (.x)
AC3D (.ac)
Milkshape 3D (.ms3d)

Even more are supported but I don't want to take the time to list them all when you can visit the website for a full list... Smile

At first I got a directx9 error but after downloading the DirectX 9 Runtime Installer from the following site the error went away... DirectX 9 Runtime

Thanks for the heads up! I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this, as I'm hoping they might add .fbx export Smile

In their forum they say a new release will be coming soon... New Release

Wings3D support is on the wishlist but I would guess not a high priority...

Sounds promising! "Thankfully" the wishlist is relatively small, so I guess there's some hope for Wings3D support as well Wink

RE: Open Source 3D Model Viewer - AssimpView
I think maybe the FBX support is import only? I'm not seeing FBX as an export option.

Nova,
Yes, AssimpView is focused more on viewing than on converting. If you need to convert to FBX you can use the Autodesk FBX converter. I just added a thread for that.... Autodesk FBX Converter

I have only used the Autodesk FBX Converter to convert an Obj file to FBX in order to test AssimpView.
