Since we all have preferred ways of doing things, I'm unsure whether mine is 'smarter / shorter' would be correct ...
The bit I think could cause some problems is the duplicating / overlapping of geometry ... needing the use of cleanup. Since the mesh looks ok - to the naked eye - it's not apparent whether it's been 'cleaned' or not. In the noob world, this could cause problems. I'd probably use a scale | rad >mmb > 0% op to re-locate the inner corner vert, after doing a couple of connect type sequences Not better ... just different. I think the main thing to try and get across is the fact that the 'ugly mess' can be re-organised in lots of ways - both re techniques and the final shape of the geom. pp |
