Exporting files
I want to export a wings model as a .stl file in ASCII format. I'm going to use matlab to read the file and sort out the coordinates of all of the vertexes. I have code that will do this, but the .stl file that wings exports is not the correct format (im guessing its binary?). Can wings export the type of .stl file that I want?

RE: Exporting files
Hi Castaway
unfortunately Wings3D exports .stl data only in the binary format.

You could use a third app for that if you still want to work with Wings3D<->MathLab.
By using Cloud Compare would be a way. Check out this video: Binary ASCII STL Conversion
