Append from file?
Hello,

It is possible to append an object from file? If not, is there any possibility to see this in the future (a not so future... future Smile)? I would like to have a file with objects of same type (nuts&bolts, gears, pipes, etc.) and append from there the one i need instead a large amount of files!

Thank you!

RE: Append from file?
I presume merging will add all the objects in that file instead of a specific object inside that?!

RE: Append from file?
I'm sorry. I see what you ask for now.

BUT ... I'll try to give you a developer friendly answer ...

1) Don't put so many shapes into your scene that it will bog wings3d down.
2) Open a new scene ... do you import of all objects in your category.
3) Open the geometry windows and select the subset you want.
4) Save the subset.
5) Now merge that subset into your final scene.

I guess what I'm saying is ... I think the current program already does enough work for you that you should be satisfied.

Does this work well enough ?
