The Move Command
Interactive command
Moves one or more selected edges in the given direction.
Directions that can be given are Normal, Free, X, Y, Z.
The Rotate Command
Interactive command
Rotates one or more edges. The axis of rotation will be the
given axis (Normal, X, Y, Z), passing through the center of
each selected edge.
The Scale Command
Interactive command
Scales one or more edges. The center for scaling will be
the center of each individual edge.
You can scale along one or more axes.
The subcommand Uniform scales equally along all axes.
The subcommands X, Y, Z scales along the given axis.
The subcommands Radial X, Radial Y, Radial Z scales along
two axes. For instance, Radial Y, scales along the X and Z;
that is the width and depth but not height of the object will
be changed.
The Extrude Command
Interactive command
Allows you to pull out edges. The Extrude command first bevels
each edge by creating new edges on all sides of it.
The Cut Command
Hotkeys: The digits 2-0 (0 puts in 10 parts).
Cuts the selected edges into 2 through 5 edges of equal length.
The selection mode will be automatically changed to Vertex
and the new vertices will be selected.
The left picture shows a box with four selected edges.
The middle picture show the box after applying Cut4. The
new vertices are selected.
Apply Connect (hotkey: C) to connect the selected vertices.
The Connect Command
The Connect command first cuts each selected edge in two edges
of equal length, and then creates new edges between all new
vertices.
Equvivalent to Cut2, switching to Vertex selection Mode,
Connect.
The Bevel Command
Interactive command
The Bevel command bevels vertices by converting them to faces.
(Similar to the Extrude command, except that the original
edges are deleted.) You can interactively size the newly created
faces.
The selection mode is changed to face selection mode, and
the newly created faces are selected, allowing you apply further
commands on the faces.
The Dissolve Command
Hotkey: Backspace
Deletes all selected edges. The two vertices at either end
of the edge will not move.
The Collapse Command
Deletes each selected edge. The two vertices at either end
of the edge will be combined into one and moved to the middle
of the former edge.
The selection mode will be changed to vertex mode and the
combined vertices will be selected.
The Hardness Command
The Loop Cut Command
The Loop Cut allows you to cut an object in two along a loop
of selected edges.
The left picture below shows how a loop of edges have been
selected.
The Loop Cut command automatically changes to Body selection
mode and selects one of the new objects as shown in the middle
picture.
In the right picture, the top object was moved upwards (MoveY).
