Camera Navigation

CAMERA NAVIGATION

You view your model scene as if you see it through a camera lens and you can change the viewpoint (i.e., zoom, pan or tumble) by moving the mouse in combination with the mouse buttons. The Information Line will show what mouse operations are relevant in the current context.

You can also use the Hotkeys to switch the view to aspects aligned to the standard axes,  see the [View | View Along | {axis}] command, and quickly return to the default viewpoint by using the R Hotkey.

What Type of Mouse?

Control of the camera depends on your mouse type. If you have another type of pointing device, such as a roller ball, then what matters is how its control switches map to the common types of mouse described below.

The middle mouse button is assumed to be set to its default setting in your Operating System; other middle mouse button settings may prevent its use.
