Full Version: Freeze after using file browser dialog box [OS X]

Whenever I use the save as/open/merge dialog box that pops up when browsing the system, when I complete my action, and click open/save/import/export, or whatever action I'm trying to perform, the program freezes, and can't be revived. I'm new to the program, so I don't know all the ins and outs. It could be user error. If anyone is confused by what I'm talking about, whenever a dialog system browsing box like this: http://i.imgur.com/rS80FET.png is opened, the program is unresponsive as soon as it is closed.

Specs: OS X Yosemite (10.10.4), MacBook Pro (Late 2013), 8GB RAM.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as the program is currently unusable for me.
What is the W3D version you are using?
Could it be something like that one reported in this post?
I can try that. Sounds very similar. For now, I was able to bypass it by dialing "Mac OS File Dialog" in the file menu. Using the Wings file browser is clunky, but it works, and doesn't freeze the program.

Version is 1.5.3
Thanks for the information.
We appreciate if you could try that workaround for your situation and give us a feedback. Smile
Hi! curtquarquesso

Since I have not encountered such problems, but I found the following article.
Fix Abnormally Slow Folder Opening & Folder Populating in OS X 10.10.3

In OSX10.10.3 later, there seems to be a OSX cloud's bug that it takes long time to open a dialog or a folder.
I hope that it becomes a hint to solve your trouble.
Thanks for share the information tkbd.
I just fixed your link by removing the "/OS X 10.10.3" which was resulting in a "Page not found" error
Thank you fix the link Micheus.Blush
