Full Version: Relative measurements?

Hello,

I know that Wings doesn't use actual measurements, but is there any way to measure relative sizes? I am designing for 3D printing and need to make sure minimum tolerances are met. I can do this if there is a way to measure what, for example, one diameter is compared to another.

I did search the forums for this answer but could not find a relevant answer.

Thanks,
Mike
Check this post. Maybe it can help you.
Thank you for the reply but I already found that thread prior to posted. As I said, I know I can't set units, but how do I measure WU's? Is there no way to measure? How does one create any sort of accurate model?
You have the grid which is spaced out at 1x1wu as indicators.

If you select an edge, or two vertices the length is printed in the top left corner.

Otherwise it is hard to give information in 3D space, and you have the absolute commands where
you can move verts/edge/face to positions in 3D space.

In all textboxes where you input stuff you can write math expression as 1.0*3.0*pi()*sin(45)
