when you "Freeze" the mirror ...there is no seam anymore in proxy-mode

Of course there isn't. It shouldn't be there when the mirror is active either.

Nemyax there is only so much I can do, opencl variant is not as exact as the real smooth, which is why it is not used as the real command. I need to do some approximations to be able to speed up the otherwise it will be slower than the original.

Regarding the speedup we have changed to a new erlang version, so maybe some of my workmates have done something good, they get lucky sometimes :-)

Arg Arg are you using the 64b version of 1.5.2?
Because I can not replicate your numbers on linux at least.

RE: New Release 1.5.3 available - Asticles - 04-15-2014

Okay I've found what. The opencl greyed out when I installed experimental64 manifoldlab plugin downloaded from http://s331378245.onlinehome.us/manifoldlab_releases/

Does anyone knows which manifoldlab version I have to use?

RE: New Release 1.5.3 available - oort - 04-15-2014

Asticles,
Manifoldlab questions should probably be asked in that section of the forum...ManifoldLab discussion

Click the Daily (Recent) Releases link ManifoldLab plugins at the top of that page. Then you could try one of the standalone plug-ins like Booleans, Scatter, etc. You will not get the latest Wings3D updates if you use the Manifoldlab versions of Wings3D.

Ok oort, only with boolean proxy goes well.

Thanks!

yes, i use the 64bit
WIN 7 / CPU i7-3930K 6 cores (hyper-threaded 12 cores) / GTX 690 / 64 GB RAM

and yes, Asticles perhaps pointed out the bug...
...i also have installed the ML-Plugins to 1.5.2... i have to check out
if the proxy-settings will getting right, when i use 1.5.2 without ML-Plugs

EDIT:
checked: proxy settings still greyed out at 1.5.2 without ML-Plugs
it seems ML-Plugs donĀ“t affect the proxy-settings.
...not tested with 1.5.3

EDIT
checked: proxy settings getting greyed out at 1.5.3 with ML-Plugs
ML-Plugs affects the proxy settings in 1.5.3
Asticles is right... perhaps a new job for ggaliens? Wink

Perhaps the SMOOTHING-OPERATION time depends on a lot of other
stuff (background applications and so on).

i have made a test again (a simple cube smoothed up)
...so, here are the facts:

Smoothing-Step in Polys-----------Wings 1.5.3--------Wings 1.5.2
----------------------------------------------------------------
24.576 to 98.304 ------------------ 3.77 sec ----------4.25 sec
98.304 to 393.216 -----------------11.72 sec ---------12.38 sec
393.216 to 1.572.864---------------46.24 sec ---------43.12 sec
1.572.864 to 6M--------------3 min and 12sec---3 min and 06 sec

...i have to say: my first test was not right!
perhaps there was something wrong (virus-scanner and so on)...

conclusion:
not much difference between 1.5.2 and 1.5.3...
but it works... and i hope to see more polys Smile
