Single face plane - J. Baker - 09-09-2025 How do you create a single faced plane? Like for making a terrain. I do not need a bottom face. Thanks! RE: Single face plane - edb - 09-10-2025 Hello J. Baker, I think the easiest way is to hide the bottom and side faces using either the hide or hole commands. This is actually what wings will do when it imports an .obj that is not water tight, missing faces are auto filled and then hidden as holes. RE: Single face plane - J. Baker - 09-10-2025 Ok. Thanks! This will create an object with only four vertices and two faces (up and down). In this case usually we may need to set the boundaries edges to hard to not have problem smoothing it. RE: Single face plane - J. Baker - 09-12-2025 Plan was to create a low poly terrain / world or room. I thought the plane would be best as it is already a grid. RE: Single face plane - oort - 09-13-2025 The Heightmap Surface plugin that Micheus worked on a long time ago may help you with terrains. You would have to use an older version of Wings since the plugin is not compatible with Wings v2.* versions. You can have old and new versions of Wings installed at the same time. Here is a link to info on the plugin. Heightmap Surface plugin oort RE: Single face plane - micheus - 09-15-2025 (09-12-2025, 04:46 PM)J.
