Normally I don't comment on gallery submissions and great works of art. Yours at typically very nice ... inspirational ...

With this one ... I can help but feel that you need the GILLS and surface details to make it more "mushroomy". Naturally I would lean towards use of perhaps some voronoi based regions imprinted as gill and or stem ... picking maybe a more interesting mushroom.

Excellent work!

Did you use any background picture or all made in W3D?
I assume foreground grass is texture, but how did you make leaf area - some algorithm or hand made?

Could you also share with 'pure' wire?
Thanks!

Marcin,
Very nice modeling and render.
If you are interested in modeling the gills, here is a Wings3D tutorial...Mushroom Tutorial

Thanks guys for your kind words and advices.

Ofcourse I could do it more detailed, but I wanted to keep mushrooms lowpoly as much as I could. As you can see the whole scene is not so much complex.

Here you go:

As you can see in the backgroud there is an alpha space.
Grass made with particle systems in Blender. It is not any grass texture.
I used put on option and hand made editing to make leaves. Smile

Thanks again!

Wow that looks great, do you know which species of mushroom that is by any chance?
