Wanted to do the moon with craters displaced ... but I still have some issues to work on ... including starting with a proper heightmap and not a color map.

It's getting better. Good work.

I think you should inform your system setup to work with this high resolution mesh and get Wings3D responsible. In a poor system, with low memory and no dedicated graphic card no one will get it running this way you are showing. And if an used still have a 32bit system that will be almost impossible. Wink

Yes ... it is really a lot for most people to try to tackle ... especially the wait times. But ... sometime in the process ... some ideas come forth. I've very curious about how the spherical mapping is working now.

Part of me just wants to make a nice moon model and maybe have a dropbox folder for models.

Also would like to maybe figure out how to magically inscribe the "8" which is the two loops top and bottom connected by the cutline between. In the code ... Dan called it "8". I like that.

This one has cleaner seam and smaller poles.
