Trying to make this work in 2.2.7 it all goes too fast for me and I miss something when I slow it down.

I have this shape I am trying to work with as a test but any will do if somebody could talk me through whats happening to get the outcome?

I have saved a sample to where this begins.

Many thanks in advance.

I think they are different things, although you will need to use the first four minutes from my original video to draw the silhouette. After that, instead of make its revolution around the axis you will need to extrude the face.

Aha, that makes a lot of sense to me and is what I have had to do.
I just thought i was missing something as I could not get anything to revolve on Y axis correctly.
Still a good tutorial though and using mplayer the shift &[ keys work well to slow it for me to keep up with. Thanks again for your excellent work.

I notice this thread has been viewed by some others so for my reference and those who also may be interested, my work around is to do this:
Create initial shape, extrude Z by 0.1, rotate Y by 011.25, mirror until complete, weld, combine, colour, subdivide, save as obj.

It may not be the correct method but it seems to be working for me until I discover otherwise, reason for wanting to do this, granddaughter wants a chess set printed from profiles of her favourite Disney characters.

It can be a little extended process, but it works for Shure.
