I have a torus around a cylinder and need to delete the portion of the torus that is inside the cylinder (or hide it within the walls of the cylinder. Radial scaling doesn't help (makes the torus a weird shape). I'm not sure what to do.

Could you share a print screen of them.

Attached a photo. So I have a tube with a torus through it, but I need the interior of the tube clear. The torus is acting as a surface accent on the outside of the tube.I've tried flattening, moving, and resizing but that doesn't work. They either don't work at all or they affect the outside part of the torus too. It's fine if I can't "delete" but I at least need the interior part of the torus resized and shaped so it fits inside the wall of the tube.

I can't see the base of you object, but I believe you can use one of these two approach.

The first one is composed by two objects that you can combine:

The second one is a mono-block object:

How do I combine objects? I can only seem to "group" them.

In Body selection mode you select the objects you want to combine and in the context menu you must choose Combine.

You can uncombine them further, but I must to advise you that the original names will be lost.
