Modeled in Wings. Obviously. . . not a complex model but I think it turned out ok. :-)

Wegg,
I love the simple models the most... Smile Great job. The icing and sprinkles in the render are not in the cage view. How did you get them in the render?

All you need is a birthday candle to make it extra special. If you are interested, here is a link to a thread where ycarry shows how to make one... Birthday Candle

The icing is a procedural noise that is driving the displacement in that area. The sprinkles are actually hair that is growing out of the frosting. Only in this case the hairs have been replaced by the sprinkles. This was rendered in messiahConfusedtudio. My favorite app next to Wings. :-)

I think one could get close to this result with just Wing/ManifoldLab/Aqsis. But might be nicer to own Messiah.

Wings3D > Vert mode > Deform may be good for the icing. Manifoldlab > Scatter Bodies for the sprinkles....

With this method. With two clicks I can have a totally different looking frosting pattern and spread of sprinkles. I think that is what I love most about messiah. It's displacement is so easy to play with and forgiving. The Arnold based renderer to me is second to none. Perfect companion to wings. I wish I never had to use Lightwave at all.

Did you get in on that $10.00 sale a few years ago ?

That sounded like a good deal.

I have been using messiah for a LONG long time. Back when it was a $1500 plugin to Ligtwave. Yea that was a good deal. "Dare to Share". I'll bet when 6 gets released you will be able to pick up someone's license for a good deal. No guarantee but I have seen that happen before.
