Nemyax user ported some of the cools features present in Wings3D to Blender: Zaloopok
Good to the Blender people. Smile

But, I have to say that I got a little bit sad last night when I read about it in the Bay Raitt twiiter.
I felt like I"m about to be retired of my Wings3D tasks soon. Sad

Somehow I missed this when Micheus posted it.
Yes it is an honor. It also shows how great Wings3D is.

No Micheus you cannot retire from coding Wings3D... Smile People like me will always prefer the simpler interface of Wings3D. I have always been overwhelmed when I look at the Blender interface.

Neither program is perfect, but Wings got lots of things right all along. Blender fumbled about for a very long time before it also got them right.

Both programs have cons and pros and I also use B3D accordingly. We can't compare them with 'number of functions' only. I believe everyone can find something useful in both programs. For me W3D is:

- light [works with old hardware]
- easy to use [learn in 1 day]
- focused with one functionality [modeling]
- stable [pathes followed up to date]

@Micheus
I can't imagine Wings without you. Who's going to process all fixes?

I do believe both me and Micheus think wings is to much fun, so I (and probably Micheus too) will
continue with Wings for some time still.

Though I do need a break after the next release(s), been some long nights for months now, but it seems
hard to get that next release out of the door.
